Webquest for Fairy Tales

Introduction

You are working for a publishing company in a big city near your hometown. The owner asked for a team to help the company gather fairy tales. Before the team can begin to do this, they need to investigate a few things. Many readers, that the publishers sell books to, are wondering what makes a story a fairy tale. The publishers would also like to produce something different than what is already in stores. In addtition to the traditional fairy tales, the company would like to see a few new, fairy tale versions.

Task

You and your co-worker must determine if the story you are reading is a fairy tale. You will need to present this to the publishing company. Data should be organized on a poster. Then, create a new and imaginative ending to the traditional fairy tale. Once this is complete, you must create a new cover for the book in order to attract customers. You will also present the new edition of the fairy tale to the publishing company.

You may use the Internet or books to find so-called fairy tales. This website has the fairy tales that the publishing company will ask you to investigate. The company will assign you to one of those fairy tales.
